Abra MSMEs Embrace Digitalization for Higher Productivity

BANGUED, ABRA — In convergence with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – Cordillera Administrative Region (RTWPB-CAR) conducted a training entitled “Smart Productivity: Transforming MSMEs through Digital Innovation” on 20 May 2026, at the Gabaldon Building of the Abra State Institute of Science and Technology.

The activity gathered 21 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Abra to strengthen their understanding of digital tools and practical ways to improve business productivity.

The training was facilitated by Carolina G. Lim-Gamban, Attorney IV, and Israel P. Boleyley, Senior Labor and Employment Officer, of the RTWPB – CAR.

Discussions focused on understanding digital readiness and smart productivity, strengthening workforce skills and employee engagement for smart productivity, and developing a digital productivity action plan.

Through the activity, participants gained practical knowledge to help improve business operations, adapt to digital changes, and increase productivity in their enterprises. (Albert M. Palma)
