NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
In response to the growing demand for digital competitiveness among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the RTWPB-XII conducted a learning activity on “Improving Productivity through Social Media” on 19 May 2026 at the RTWPB-XII Conference Room, Koronadal City.
Organized in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-XII South Cotabato Province Office, 14 beneficiaries from the coconut industry in South Cotabato attended the training which aimed to help strengthen their online presence and improve business productivity through effective social media marketing strategies and the practical use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
Participants were introduced to various digital applications that can assist in content creation, audience engagement, and online promotion, enabling MSMEs to adapt to the changing demands of the digital marketplace.
RTWPB-XII emphasized the importance of integrating technology into everyday business operations to increase efficiency and market reach. The discussion also highlighted how AI-powered tools can help entrepreneurs save time in creating promotional materials, generate content ideas, and improve communication with customers across digital platforms.
Mr. Randy Oliver Legada, MIT, IT Officer I of RTWPB-XII and resource speaker of the activity, underscored the role of innovation in sustaining small businesses amid the fast-paced digital environment.
“Hindi kailangang malaki ang puhunan para makasabay sa digital marketing. Sa tamang paggamit ng social media at AI tools, mas mapapadali ang paggawa ng content at mas mapapalawak ang market reach ng ating MSMEs,” Legada said.
The activity also provided participants with hands-on insights on creating engaging online content and improving customer interaction through digital platforms, which are seen as essential tools in expanding product visibility and increasing sales opportunities.
The initiative forms part of RTWPB-XII’s continuing productivity enhancement programs aimed at empowering MSMEs through innovation, digitalization, and capacity-building interventions.
