DOLE-CAR Leads 2026 Orientation on New Rules for Employment of Foreign Nationals

BAGUIO CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOLE-CAR) convened government agencies and private sector representatives for a two-day Capacity Building and Orientation on the new rules and regulations governing the employment of foreign nationals in the Philippines.

Held at the Venus Parkview Hotel from April 15 to 16, 2026, the activity aimed to streamline policy implementation and ensure compliance with updated guidelines.

DOLE-CAR Regional Director Imelda E. Romanillos, CESO IV, opened the program and warmly welcomed attendees. DOLE Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) Director Patrick P. Patriwirawan, Jr. also delivered a message of support.

The first day was dedicated to aligned government agencies, with participants including the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB-CAR), National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB-CAR), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA-CAR), Bureau of Immigration, Philippine Retirement Authority, and the Department of Foreign Affairs. The second day focused on orientation sessions for private establishments.

The event underscores DOLE’s commitment to a harmonized approach in managing the legal framework for foreign workers in the country.
