BAGUIO CITY — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – Cordillera Administrative Region (RTWPB-CAR) conducted a sectoral consultation with employers on minimum wage adjustment in the region on 27 August 2026 at the Supreme Hotel, Magsaysay Avenue.

The consultation provided employers with an opportunity to share their views on wages, productivity, and the current business conditions in the region.

During the open forum, participants discussed their experiences and concerns regarding the minimum wage, including the challenges they face in managing their businesses amid changes in operating costs and other economic conditions.

The inputs and feedback gathered from the consultation will be considered alongside relevant socio-economic and other indicators in the Board’s minimum wage determination process, which aims to balance workers’ welfare, business sustainability, and regional economic growth. (Albert M. Palma)
