ISTIV Bayanihan Training Empowers MSMEs in Apayao During Women’s Month Celebration

In celebration of Women’s Month, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – Cordillera Administrative Region (RTWPB-CAR) conducted an ISTIV Bayanihan training covering Productivity, Simple Bookkeeping, Costing and Pricing, and Stock Control on 11 March 2026, at Aguirre’s Kitchenette in Luna, Apayao. The activity gathered micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) participants from Apayao to strengthen their business management capabilities.

The program opened with Engr. Jovan Ray Wamil, Labor and Employment Officer III of Department of Labor and Employment – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOLE-CAR) Apayao, who delivered the opening remarks and emphasized the importance of improving productivity and strengthening enterprise management practices to support the growth and sustainability of local businesses.

During the training proper, Mr. Albert B. Bambico, Administrative Assistant I, discussed Productivity, highlighting practical approaches MSMEs can apply to improve efficiency and maximize available resources in their operations.

The session on Simple Bookkeeping, Costing, and Pricing was facilitated by Ms. Jo-ann M. Borja, Supervising Labor and Employment Officer, who guided participants on maintaining basic financial records, properly computing costs, and setting appropriate product prices to ensure profitability and sustainability.

Meanwhile, Mr. Albert M. Palma, Information Technology Officer I, presented the topic on Stock Control, where he introduced effective methods for managing inventory, monitoring supplies, and preventing losses through proper tracking and organization.

The activity provided participants with essential tools and knowledge to enhance their business operations. Through the ISTIV Bayanihan initiative, RTWPB-CAR continues to support the development and resilience of MSMEs in the province while promoting productivity and sustainable enterprise growth.
