May 21, 2026

Several outstanding micro and small enterprises based in Northern Mindanao received financial assistance under the Department of Labor and Employment-Adjustment Measures Program (DOLE-AMP) on Labor Day, 01 May 2026.

The beneficiaries were winners and participants of the Productivity Olympics, a nationwide initiative of the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) and Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) that recognizes enterprises with outstanding productivity improvement practices. Winners of the Productivity Olympics are given priority endorsement to productivity enhancement programs and assistance initiatives of DOLE and RTWPBs.

RTWPB-X played a crucial role in helping the enterprises prepare their project proposals, identify productivity enhancement strategies, and comply with technical requirements necessary for the approval of the grants.

Among the 2026 beneficiaries is CdeO Integrated Farm, which received Php399,950.00 in DOLE-AMP assistance. The enterprise plans to strengthen its operations through the acquisition of modern food processing equipment, installation of renewable energy systems, and improvement of its processing and training facilities. These initiatives are expected to improve productivity, support sustainable agriculture, and create more livelihood opportunities for local communities.

Another recipient, Josephus Fastfood, received Php475,913.41 to support the expansion and compliance requirements of its ready-to-eat product line. The project includes laboratory testing, food safety certifications, ventilation improvements, and upgrades to hygienic production facilities aimed at ensuring worker safety, regulatory compliance, and continued employment generation.

Continuing beneficiaries from previous RTWPB productivity programs were also recognized. Fruity Pop Products, a Phase 2 recipient, was granted Php472,050.25 to support product innovation, operational modernization, and food safety improvements, including the introduction of new juice flavors and upgraded production systems.

Meanwhile, Bestfriend Goodies, a recognized Productivity Olympics participant and productivity program beneficiary, received Php107,500.00 under Phase 3 for the expansion of its cookie production operations. The project will enable the company to acquire new production equipment, improve logistics and planning systems, and provide training opportunities for workers while generating additional employment.

The successful release of assistance during the Labor Day celebration reflects the government’s continuing commitment to promoting productivity, innovation, employment preservation, and sustainable enterprise development in Northern Mindanao. (Bernie Boy T. Salinas)
