NWPC attends TWG on “Work from Home”

Ms. Amelia C. Kakazu, Supervising Labor and Employment Officer, represented the NWPC in the 2nd Technical Working Group Meeting on Emerging Work and Employment Arrangements of “Work from Home” Workers. It was held at the Blas F. Ople Hall, DOLE Executive Building, Intramuros, Manila on May 10, 2018.

In the meeting, the Institute of Labor Studies (ILS) presented the draft program for the stakeholder’s forum together with the draft questionnaire for “off-site workers” to be used in their study.

The technical working group was created pursuant to Administrative Order No. 98, series of 2018 to protect the rights of workers under the “work from home” scheme and to come up with studies that can be used in formulating rules and regulations to cover workers under this arrangement.
