Over 80 DTI-assisted MSMEs take part in Usapang 2Ps (Pasahod and Productivity) Training featuring Service Quality, Wages, and Incentives in Tayabas City, Quezon

More than 80 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Quezon Province took part in a learning session focused on improving service quality, strengthening customer relationships, and promoting fair and productivity-based compensation last 20 April 2026, at St. Jude Cooperative Hotel and Event Center in Tayabas City.

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – IVA (RTWPB – IVA), in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, helped small businesses learn how to serve customers better, build stronger relationships.

DTI Quezon Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa delivered the opening message, emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement in service delivery and workforce productivity to remain competitive in a dynamic market environment.

The morning session was facilitated by Mr. Gener C. Rivera, Information Technology Officer I and Head Trainer for Productivity, who discussed service quality and customer advocacy. He highlighted that delivering consistent and excellent service is key to gaining customer trust and sustaining business growth.

In the afternoon, participants were introduced to ISTIV values and how these can be applied in the workplace to promote discipline, efficiency, and a positive work culture.

Mr. Edgardo A. Avila Jr., Labor and Employment Officer III and Productivity Trainer of RTWPB IV-A, also shared insights on wages and incentives. He explained how productivity-based incentive schemes can help motivate employees, improve overall performance, and ensure fair compensation.
