RTWPB IV-A (Calabarzon) successfully conducted a face-to-face Wage Orientation on the new Wage Order IVA-19 at the Hotel Marciano, Barangay Real, Calamba City, Laguna. Labor inspectors from the DOLE Regional Office IV-A, as well as the DOLE Provincial Offices in the region, attended the orientation.

Atty. Dennis Manzanero handled the first session of the orientation. This part covered the Wage Order IVA-19, Rules on Wage Exemption, Bus Transport (Part Fixed, Part Performance-Based Compensation Scheme) and key components of the Omnibus Rules on Minimum Wage Determination.

Also, from RTWPB IV-A, Mr. Gener Rivera discussed the areas of wage studies, wage agreements, and wage determination under Articles 124 and 125 of Chapter V of the Labor Code. He also presented the Principle of Wage Distortion.

Finally, Board Secretary Atty. Rio Ariel Soriano handled the open forum where all of the participants’ concerns were received and afforded appropriate and concise responses.
