New minimum wage in CAR, Western Visayas

Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and Western Visayas recently approved new wage orders for workers in the private sector in their respective regions.

 

Effective November 18, 2019, minimum wage earners in private establishments in CAR will be entitled to an additional daily wage ranging from P30-P45, varying by sector. The new daily minimum wage in the region now ranges from P340-P350 following the publication of Wage Order no. RB-CAR-20 in the Baguio Midland Courier on November 3, 2019.

 

Meanwhile, workers in Western Visayas received an additional P15-P30 daily wage, varying by sector. The new daily minimum wage in the region ranges from P310-P395 following the effectivity of Wage Order No. VI-25 on November 26, 2019 after it was published in Panay News and Negros Daily Bulletin on November 11, 2019.
