Newly Appointed Commissioners Attend NWPC Year-End General Assembly

Newly appointed NWPC Commissioners representing the workers’ sector attended the NWPC year-end general assembly on December 22, 2022 in Malate, Manila.

Commissioners Arturo Baesa and Milagros Ogalinda expressed holiday greetings and gratitude to the officers and employees of NWPC for inviting and welcoming them as part of the NWPC family.

Commissioner Baesa thanked the NWPC for “adopting” him and said that he is hoping he would be of good help to the organization. He said that, even though he is a labor

representative, he also aims for the betterment of the management sector so that employers would be able to provide more employment opportunities.

DOLE Undersecretary Benedicto Ernesto Bitonio, NWPC Chairman-Designate, also graced the event and welcomed the new set of NWPC commissioners. He said he was looking forward to working with them and instructed NWPC to continuously provide guidance and support to the newly appointed commissioners.

He thanked NWPC for maintaining its good performance and said that he is confident that the quality of work of NWPC will allow it to face and overcome the challenges it will face.

Meanwhile, in her message, Michelle Irish D. Mackay, President of the NWPC Employees’ Association, expressed her gratitude and wished for the continued support of the management to the programs and activities of the association. The general assembly was packed with games, presentations, and raffle prizes from and for the NWPC employees and their families.
