NWPC holds consultations to assess minimum wage policy

The NWPC organized consultations with representatives of the labor and employer groups and the government sector to gather sectoral views and positions on wage issues and minimum wage setting practices.

The management and labor sector consultations were conducted on July 24 and 30, respectively both at the Microtel at UP Technohub, Quezon City, while the consultation with the RTWPB Chairpersons (as government-sector representatives) was held on August 1 at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Manila.

Facilitated by a team of experts composed of Professor Emmanuel Esguerra, Professor Cielo Magno and Mr. Jude Esguerra, the focus group discussion was done through a polling platform poll everywhere to facilitate a live interactive audience participation.

Results of consultations in the form of policy recommendations will be submitted to the Secretary upon approval of the Commission.
