NWPC receives Unqualified Audit Opinion from COA

NWPC received its third unqualified COA opinion having satisfied the state auditor in all material respects, which means compliance in form and content with all statutory accounting and auditing rules and regulations of the agency’s true and fair reflection of its financial condition, position, and operations.

The audit was conducted in accordance with International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAIs) to: (a) ascertain the level of assurance that may be placed on management’s assertions in the financial statements; (b) determine the propriety of transactions as well as the extent of compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; and (c) determine the extent of the implementation of prior years’ audit recommendations.

According to the Commission on Audit (COA), “unqualified opinion” is the highest finding an bestowed on an post-audit.
