RTWPB III trains Nueva Ecija cooperatives in OSH and Productivity

Representatives from 16 cooperatives in Nueva Ecija were trained in occupational safety and health (OSH) standards and productivity by the DOLE Nueva Ecija Field Office and the Regional Tripartite Wage and Productivity Board-III. The training was held in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija this January 12-14, 2021. The cooperatives are agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs), under the care of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Mr. Zoren Amat of DOLE Nueva Ecija together with Ms. Estrella de Lara, Nueva Ecija field office’s wage and productivity focal person, discussed the updated OSH standards, as well as the responsibilities and rights of employers and workers to maintain health and safety in the workplace. Board Secretary Jerome Yanson discussed the importance and effects of maintaining workers’ health and safety to the productivity and profitability of businesses, such as through the adoption of 7S of Good Housekeeping.
