Daet, Camarines Norte – The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-V (RTWPB-Bicol) successfully conducted the training program “Smart Productivity: Transforming MSMEs Through Digital Innovation” in Daet, Camarines Norte on June 3, 2026 to 39 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) participants across the province.

The activity marked the official launch of RTWPB Bicol’s newest productivity toolbox module, designed to help MSMEs navigate the evolving digital landscape and harness technology-driven solutions to improve business performance, workforce productivity, and operational efficiency.

The productivity training equipped participants with practical knowledge and tools to assess their readiness for digital transformation and adopt smart productivity practices that support sustainable business growth. The program featured three key learning sessions:

Understanding Digital Readiness and Smart Productivity, which introduced participants to the concepts of digital transformation, smart productivity, and the importance of embracing innovation in today’s business environment;

Strengthening Workforce Skills and Employee Engagement for Smart Productivity, which highlighted strategies for developing digitally capable workforces, fostering employee participation, and building a culture of continuous improvement; and

Developing a Digital Productivity Action Plan, where participants crafted actionable plans tailored to their respective enterprises to support the adoption of digital tools and productivity-enhancing initiatives.

In her message, Francia N. Ocmer, Board Secretary VI of RTWPB Bicol, emphasized the importance of embracing digital innovation as a key driver of productivity and business growth.

“As businesses continue to face rapid technological changes and evolving market demands, it is essential for MSMEs to develop the capability to adapt and innovate. Through smart productivity, enterprises can maximize their resources, strengthen workforce engagement, and leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. We hope that this new productivity toolbox module will serve as a practical guide for MSMEs in their digital transformation journey,” said Ocmer.

RTWPB Bicol underscored that digital innovation is no longer an option but a necessity for MSMEs seeking to remain competitive in an increasingly technology-driven economy. By integrating digital solutions with productivity improvement strategies, businesses can streamline processes, enhance customer experience, and achieve greater operational resilience.
