RTWPB-CAR Conducts Facility Evaluation for Midtown Restaurant in Bontoc

July 20, 2026

BONTOC, Mountain Province — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – Cordillera Administrative Region (RTWPB-CAR) conducted a facility evaluation at Midtown Restaurant last 08 July 2026, in line with its commitment to support local businesses while safeguarding workers’ welfare.

The evaluation focused on assessing the establishment’s workplace conditions, facilities, and overall productivity practices, ensuring a balanced approach that benefits both the management and its staff.

During the initial conference, the RTWPB-CAR team, the MSME owner, and its employees aligned the objectives of the visit and discussed the operational landscape of the restaurant.

After a thorough walkthrough and assessment, the participants gathered for the exit conference, where the evaluation team shared key findings, highlighted good practices already in place, and discussed practical recommendations to further boost productivity and maintain a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment.

The Facility Evaluation is a process conducted by RTWPBs to determine the fair monetary value of facilities (like meals, housing, or electricity) an employer provides to employees. By law, this valuation must be approved to legally credit these facilities toward minimum wage compliance.

Through initiatives like this, the RTWPB-CAR continues to work hand-in-hand with the business community to foster sustainable growth and decent work. (Albert M. Palma)
