In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board–Cordillera Administrative Region (RTWPB-CAR) conducted a learning session titled “Revisiting the Gender and Development Laws, and Strengthening Inclusive Collaboration between RTWPB-CAR Employees” last 09 March 2026, at H100 Eco Lodge in Baguio City.
The activity gathered RTWPB-CAR employees to deepen their understanding of Gender and Development (GAD) principles and promote a more inclusive workplace.
The program formally opened with welcome remarks from Atty. Myrene A. Bosleng, Board Secretary of RTWPB-CAR, where she emphasized the importance of fostering gender awareness and collaboration within the organization, highlighting the role of GAD initiatives in building a respectful and equitable work environment.
The learning session was conducted by Atty. Carolina Lim-Gamban, Attorney IV of RTWPB-CAR. She discussed key Gender and Development laws and policies, providing participants with insights on their relevance and application in the workplace. The session also included a collaborative activity and workshop aimed at strengthening inclusive collaboration among employees.
Participants actively engaged in the discussions and group activities, reflecting on how GAD principles can be integrated into their daily work and interactions within the office.
The program concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Jo-ann M. Borja, Supervising Labor and Employment Officer, who expressed appreciation to the participants and organizers for their active participation and commitment to advancing gender-responsive initiatives.
The event was hosted by Ms. Royette R. Balaodan, Government Intern Program (GIP) of RTWPB-CAR, who facilitated the flow of the program.
Through this activity, RTWPB-CAR reaffirmed its commitment to promoting gender equality, strengthening workplace collaboration, and supporting the goals of Gender and Development within the organization. (Albert Palma)
