LAGAWE, IFUGAO — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – CAR (RTWPB-CAR) conducted a session on handling wage distortion and Jumpstarting Productivity through Effective Onboarding of New Employees to the local cooperatives during the specialized capability building seminar last 25 June 2026.
The event, organized by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office of Ifugao alongside the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and RTWPB-CAR, gathered 30 local cooperatives to boost workplace harmony and operational efficiency.
The training discussed proactive workplace strategies, covering Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), setting up grievance machinery, and fostering Labor-Management Cooperation. Attendees also received essential regulatory updates from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), while DOLE Ifugao Field Office reiterated the workers’ statutory benefits.
To address current economic realities, RTWPB-CAR guided the participants through the latest minimum wage updates and the proper handling of wage distortion.
The Board also conducted a session entitled “Hired and Inspired: Jumpstarting Productivity through Effective Onboarding of New Employees,” equipping cooperative leaders with practical strategies to effectively engage new hires from their very first day.
