RTWPB-CAR highlights Smart Productivity at MSME Innovation Summit
BAGUIO CITY — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – CAR (RTWPB-CAR) successfully led a learning session titled “Smart Productivity: Transforming MSMEs Through Digital Innovation” on 30 May 2026, at the University of the Cordilleras.
The training was held as a breakout session during the two-day 2026 MSME Innovation Summit, an initiative organized by the City Government of Baguio, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the University of the Cordilleras. The summit gathered 36 entrepreneurs from Baguio and Benguet to access vital government and financial services.
The session, attended by small business owners, livelihood associations, and entrepreneurial students, focused on practical, jargon-free strategies to boost business efficiency. RTWPB-CAR speakers Atty. Carolina Lim-Gamban, Attorney IV, and Mr. Israel Boleyley, Senior Labor and Employment Officer, discussed the following:
· Digital Readiness: Shifting from manual to digital methods to improve daily operations.
· Tech as a Productivity Tool: Using simple digital solutions to save time and lower costs.
· AI & Safety Basics: An easy introduction to AI tools and protecting business data online.
· The Human Factor: Preparing and supporting team members through digital changes.
· Action Planning: Helping participants create a simple roadmap to adopt these tools immediately.
