The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-CAR (RTWPB-CAR) discussed minimum wage updates and wage distortion for local cooperatives during a capability-building seminar on 25 June 2026.
Organized by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office of Ifugao alongside the Cooperative Development Authority, National Conciliation and Mediation Board, Department of Labor and Employment, and RTWPB-CAR, the activity aims to boost workplace harmony and operational efficiency.
During the event, RTWPB-CAR also rolled out a new productivity training titled Hired and Inspired: Jumpstarting Productivity Through Effective Onboarding of New Employees, which provides a clear and practical guide to effective employee onboarding and explains why it matters for productivity and retention and details the design and implementation of a structured onboarding process.
Proactive workplace strategies, covering Alternative Dispute Resolution, setting up grievance machinery, and fostering Labor-Management Cooperation were also tackled during the seminar.
Meanwhile, participants also received essential regulatory updates from the Cooperative Development Authority, while the DOLE Ifugao Field Office reiterated the workers’ statutory benefits.(Albert M. Palma)
