March 24, 2026

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – Caraga completed a specialized training on “AI for Government Workforce” conducted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in Butuan City om 03 March 2026.

Board Secretary VI Earl D. Dela Victoria lauded DICT for spearheading the initiative, emphasizing the importance of equipping government personnel with emerging technologies.

“The world is now evolving, and as the agency mandated to promote productivity, it is time we better prepare our personnel to harness artificial intelligence—one of the tools that can significantly enhance our work,” Board Secretary Victoria said.

The intensive one-day program introduced participants to effective AI prompting techniques, practical applications for MSMEs, and hands-on comparisons of various AI tools. The training highlighted how artificial intelligence can streamline processes, improve decision-making, and provide innovative solutions for businesses in the region.

DICT-Caraga trainer Ralph Gomez commended the active engagement of RTWPB personnel throughout the eight-hour session.

“It is encouraging to see government employees eager to learn and apply AI in their work. I hope to continue supporting our colleagues in deepening their knowledge of this transformative technology,” he remarked.

The initiative underscores RTWPB Caraga’s commitment to innovation and productivity, positioning the agency as a proactive partner in advancing digital transformation for both government service and enterprise development. (Atty. Lorainne D. Sacote)
