March 24, 2026

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB)–Caraga has stepped up its information drive on wage policies and productivity programs in its latest Usapang 2Ps session with stakeholders from the construction industry in Surigao City on 04 March 2026.

The orientation tackled key updates including Wage Order No. 20, Wage Order No. DW-06, wage exemption guidelines, wage distortion issues, facility evaluation, and productivity-based incentive schemes. Participants were also introduced to the Productivity Toolbox and the Progressive Wage Model.

Board Secretary VI Earl D. dela Victoria underscored the importance of the session, noting that the new wage orders require broad dissemination among business owners.

“This orientation serves as an information drive for Surigao City’s construction sector. Today, you are not only updated on the new wage orders but also on productivity-based incentive schemes that can benefit both employers and workers,” he said.

Industry participants expressed appreciation for the orientation, citing the opportunity to raise questions and clarify concerns on wage and productivity matters. Many emphasized that the session provided not just additional knowledge but also practical guidance for compliance and competitiveness.

The RTWPB Caraga continues to roll out Usapang 2Ps across sectors, reinforcing its mandate to balance fair wage determination with productivity enhancement and gainsharing schemes among MSMEs. (Atty. Lorainne D. Sacote)
