RTWPB-I joins PSA in the recently concluded News Conference

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – I joins the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office I in the recently concluded News Conference on the 2025 Economic Performance in the Ilocos Region on 23 April 2026 held at J&V Resort and Hotel, San Fernando City, La Union.

The report highlights that the region’s economy expanded by 4.5% in 2025, reflecting steady growth amid evolving economic conditions. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the region’s economic landscape, emphasizing the continued dominance of the services sector, which accounts for more than half of the total Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and remains the primary driver of growth.

Atty. Romina E. Boado-Cabrillos, Board Secretary VI of RTWPB-I presented the 2025 Accomplishments and Economic Contributions of the Regional Board. Among its key achievements were the review and issuance of wage orders aimed at ensuring fair and responsive compensation, intensified productivity enhancement programs for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
