The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – I (RTWPB-I) conducted a Learning Session Activity for workers in the Informal Sector during the Celebration of Labor Day for workers in the Informal Sector and Conduct of Kasambahay Advocacy Activities at Proxy Plus Hotel, by the Oriental Pangasinan, Lucap, Alaminos City, Pangasinan last 19 May 2026.

Atty. Romina E. Bado-Cabrillos, Board Secretary VI of RTWPB-I, facilitated the discussions on productivity improvements, workers’ welfare and benefits and relevant wage policies and programs for workers in the Informal Sector.

The activity aims to strengthen the knowledge and capabilities of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) registered associations in Western Pangasinan by equipping them with practical information and strategies essential for productivity development, worker’s protection, and improved livelihood sustainability.

Additionally, Ms. Fredilyn M. Alag, Administrative Assistant I, engaged in a brief discussion with “Nanay Neneng” of Sillag Integrated Livelihood Association to gain further insight into how their association operates and how the RTWPB-I can further support their initiatives.

The said event was organized by DOLE Western Pangasinan Field Office headed by Mr. Darwin G. Hombrebueno. Various government agencies attended the event including Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Trade and Industry, Landbank of the Philippines, Bureau of Internal Revenue, and staff from Local Government Units.
