JONES, ISABELA — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board–II (RTWPB-II), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Isabela Field Office, conducted a Productivity 101 Training for 40 parents and guardians of child laborers last = 20 April 2026.

The activity, led by the DOLE Isabela Field Office in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Jones, aimed to strengthen the capacity of DOLE Kabuhayan Program beneficiaries to sustain and manage their livelihood projects. Participants were provided with practical knowledge on time management, efficient use of resources, and basic productivity principles to support the long-term viability of their small enterprises.

Resource speaker Mr. Darlo Battung, Administrative Assistant III, emphasized that livelihood assistance must be complemented by productivity skills and discipline to ensure continuity and growth. He underscored the importance of adopting simple but effective work practices to maximize available resources and improve business outcomes.

The training forms part of ongoing efforts to address child labor by enhancing the earning capacity of families. By improving household income through sustainable livelihoods, the initiative seeks to reduce the need for children to engage in work and support their continued education.

RTWPB-II supported the activity as part of its mandate to promote productivity improvement at the enterprise level, particularly among micro and small businesses. The collaboration highlights the role of inter-agency partnerships in delivering integrated services to vulnerable sectors.
