RTWPB-III TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR DOMESTIC WORKERS IN CENTRAL LUZON

September 22, 2026

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-III (RTWPB-III) will commence its series of public hearings on the minimum wage review process for kasambahays (domestic workers) in Central Luzon on 5 October 2026 at the City of Balanga, Bataan.

Upon the publication of the notice on 19 September 2026 in the Manila Bulletin, RTWPB-III formally calls for the active participation of its stakeholders, especially domestic workers and employers in Central Luzon, in the minimum wage process, as their inputs, sentiments, concerns, and proposals are crucial in determining the possible wage adjustment in the region.

The Board recognized the cruciality of these hearings, as the data to be gathered will assist it in coming up with a decision that is fair, objective, and adaptive to the needs and interests of its stakeholders, especially as wages become more vulnerable to and influenced by a myriad of disruptions caused by Middle East conflicts, climate change, and other global and national concerns that have affected the socio-economic condition of the country at large.
