The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board IX (RTWPB-IX) launched its productivity training on Smart Productivity: Transforming MSMEs through Digital Innovation on 25 June 2026.
A total of 40 representatives from 33 MSMEs in Zamboanga City participated in the activity, which was held in collaboration with the Employees’ Compensation Commission Regional Extension Unit IX.
RTWPB-IX Board Secretary VI Joel M. Ijirani spearheaded the activity and provided an overview of the programs and services offered by the agency.
Engr. Erra Jelle L. Gracia, Senior Labor and Employment Officer, led the discussion on understanding digital readiness and concepts of Smart Productivity while Atty. Brenda M. Quintas, Information Technology Officer I, provided a testimony on the significance of digital innovation for enterprise competitiveness.
Mr. Ric Luke B. Garcia, Labor and Employment Officer III, tackled the importance of strengthening workforce skills and employee engagement for Smart Productivity while Ms. Cerna I. Ahmad-Ayub, the Regional Advocacy Manager of the Employees’ Compensation Commission Regional Extension Unit IX, provided the participants with awareness on the ECC advocacy initiatives and services for workers in the private sector.
