NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Brooke’s Point, Palawan – More than 70 cooperatives from across southern Palawan gained practical tools to strengthen their workforce and drive productivity after the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-4B (RTWPB-MIMAROPA), in partnership with the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) of Palawan and the local government unit (LGU) of Brooke’s Point, conducted the “Improving Productivity Through Employee Engagement Training and Orientation on Productivity-Based Incentive Schemes (PBIS)” on June 19, 2026, at the GAD Function Hall, GAD Building, Brooke’s Point Municipal Compound, Brgy. Tubtub, Brooke’s Point, Palawan.
Participants came from cooperatives in Aborlan, Narra, Sofronio Española, Brooke’s Point, Quezon, and Rizal.
The comprehensive program equipped cooperatives’ officers and managers with administrative skills to navigate today’s challenging economic landscape, anchored on employee engagement as a practical tool for assessing the emotional commitment, enthusiasm, and connection that workers feel toward their work, their team, and their organization. Specifically, the training aimed to help participating cooperatives grasp employee engagement as a tangible lever for improving enterprise productivity, identify concrete engagement strategies that translate into measurable productivity gains, and craft customized engagement programs suited to the scale and needs of their respective cooperatives.
Ms. Florfe Anne B. Fernandez, Cooperative Development Specialist I and Provincial Cooperative Coordinator, expressed appreciation for the activity, noting that it will further strengthen cooperatives in managing both the organizational and business aspects of engaging cooperative workers and members, while rewarding their productivity through structured incentive schemes.
This initiative marks the first collaboration between RTWPB-MIMAROPA and the PCDO of Palawan on productivity training for cooperative members in Palawan.
