The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board IV-B (RTWPB-MIMAROPA), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office, conducted a full-day productivity training titled “Smart Productivity: Transforming MSMEs through Digital Innovation” on May 26, 2026, at the Mangyan Hall, Provincial Capitol Complex, Brgy. Camilmil, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

The training gathered micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners and managers from across the province for a comprehensive learning session aimed at helping businesses adapt and thrive in the rapidly evolving digital economy.

Designed with the practical needs of MSMEs in mind, the training recognized that amid today’s competitive and challenging economic environment, the ability to innovate and embrace digital solutions has become essential for business sustainability and growth.

During the training, Atty. Ser Michael Lancelot P. Gamboa and Louie Marilyn E. Del Mundo of RTWPB-MIMAROPA discussed how digital innovation can serve as a key driver of productivity and market competitiveness. Participants were introduced to strategies for transitioning from traditional business processes to more efficient, technology-enabled operations.

The program also equipped participants with practical frameworks for developing their own Digital Productivity Plans, enabling them to identify and integrate appropriate digital tools into their day-to-day business operations.

Beyond digitalization, the training also highlighted the importance of digital literacy, data privacy, and cybersecurity. These discussions ensured that participants are not only prepared to adopt digital technologies but are also equipped to use them safely, responsibly, and effectively.
