NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-IVB (RTWPB-MIMAROPA) conducted its 2026 Gender-Responsive Justice and Welfare Seminar on May 20, 2026 to reinforce its commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and gender-inclusive workplace.
The one-day activity brought together all personnel, comprising seven plantilla employees, one contractual staff member, and five Government Internship Program (GIP) interns to enhance awareness and ensure compliance with key gender and workplace protection laws.
The seminar was facilitated by Attorney IV and Human Resource Management Officer Designate Atty. Ser Michael Lancelot P. Gamboa. His discussion covered essential legislation, including the Magna Carta of Women, Safe Spaces Act, Anti-Sexual Harassment Act, Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Law, and the Expanded Maternity Leave Law, all anchored on recent jurisprudence and practical workplace applications.
“Let us always uphold a culture of respect and professionalism in our workplace. The law provides the loom, but it is through our daily conduct that we weave the fabric of a safe and inclusive organization – one that enables every employee to work with dignity and serve with confidence,” Atty. Gamboa emphasized.
As the first in-house seminar of its kind, the activity encouraged active participation, particularly in discussions on the Safe Spaces Act and the VAWC Law. It also strengthened the participants’ ability to identify prohibited acts, follow proper reporting procedures, and uphold standards under the Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI).
The seminar likewise supported the agency’s Learning and Development (L&D), Gender and Development (GAD), and CODI capacity-building initiatives.
By investing in its people, RTWPB MIMAROPA continues to nurture a workplace grounded in respect, accountability, and professionalism — affirming that inclusivity drives productivity. (Atty. Ser Michael Lancelot P. Gamboa)
