The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR), in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region Quezon City Field Office (DOLE-NCR QCFO), conducted a Productivity training on Productive Entrepreneurship and Basic Business Planning, along with a Livelihood Program Orientation for members of the Metro Manila Persons with Disability Vendors Association (MMPWDVA) on 07 April 2026.
The productivity training was spearheaded by RTWPB – NCR OIC Board Secretary Ms. Jackilyn G. Borja and Ms. Emily Y. Egos, Administrative Assistant III. They equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills to improve their livelihood opportunities.
The session provided practical discussions on entrepreneurship, including identifying business opportunities and basic business planning tailored to the needs of PWDs, which may foster collaboration within the association and with DOLE.
Participants actively engaged in the sessions by sharing their experiences and challenges as small vendors, fostering confidence while encouraging the development of sustainable and inclusive business ideas.
As a result, participants gained a clearer understanding of how to manage and grow their small businesses, highlighting the importance of livelihoods and inclusive capacity-building initiatives in supporting PWD entrepreneurs to strengthen their roles in the local economy. (Janice Anne Q. Fronda)
