The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR) spearheaded discussions on the implementation of Wage Order No. NCR-27 during the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) two-day capacity-building program held on 16 and 21 July 2026.

The activity forms part of the directive of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino to strengthen the capacity of frontline personnel including Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) labor inspectors, Single Entry Assistance Desk Officers (SEADOs), Hotline 1349 agents, and other personnel in the implementation of the latest wage order across the region.

During the training, RTWPB-NCR Officer-in-Charge Board Secretary VI Jackilyn Borja discussed the provisions of Wage Order No. NCR-27, including its salient features, the concept and methods of correcting wage distortion, and the appropriate mechanisms for addressing wage-related concerns.

The session also provided participants with practical guidance to ensure the consistent application of the latest wage order during labor inspections and dispute resolution, improve compliance among enterprises, protect workers’ rights, and support sustainable business operations.

Representing the RTWPB-NCR were Board Chairperson and DOLE-NCR Regional Director Atty. Sarah Buena Mirasol, OIC Board Secretary VI Ms. Jackilyn Borja, Attorney IV Atty. Edwin Orate, Information Technology Officer I Mr. Joel Leonard Santarina, Senior Labor and Employment Officer Ms. Luchie Atienza, and Labor and Employment Officer II Ms. Froi Angelique Romance.

RTWPB-NCR’s participation in the activity reflects the Board’s continuing commitment to supporting DOLE initiatives that strengthen labor standards enforcement, promote voluntary compliance with wage laws, and advance fair and equitable labor practices in the National Capital Region.
