The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-V (RTWPB-V), in partnership with the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) Region V, conducted an occupational safety and health and productivity in construction seminar on August 7, 2026, at the Legazpi City Convention Center as part of the ongoing Bicol Construction Expo (BICONEX).

The seminar gathered stakeholders from the region’s construction industry, including contractors, engineers, and workers, to deepen their understanding of occupational safety and health standards, workplace compliance, and strategies for improving productivity on job sites.

Through this joint initiative, RTWPB-V and OSHC Region V emphasized an important message to the region’s development agenda: safety and productivity go hand-in-hand. A workplace built on strong safety practices is not only healthier for its workers, but also more efficient, productive, and sustainable in the long run — a principle vital in the construction industry. Safety and productivity knowledge given to the construction stakeholders reinforced the shared goal of building a workforce and industry that are both protected and empowered to perform at their best.
