NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-VI (RTWPB-VI) conducted a training series on Advancing Productivity Through Organizational Development on May 26 and June 10, 2026, in Iloilo City and Kalibo, Aklan, respectively.
The training series was designed to enhance the efficiency of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Western Visayas. A total of 23 MSMEs, represented by business owners, decision-makers, and policymakers from the provinces of Iloilo, Capiz, Antique, and Guimaras, participated in the free productivity training held in Iloilo City. Meanwhile, 16 Aklan-based MSMEs attended the Kalibo, Aklan leg of the program.
The training equipped participants with tools and strategies to optimize operations and achieve sustainable growth. The program focused on building an understanding of Organizational Development (OD) and its impact on business output, the structural phases of organizational growth, and the development of custom action plans to improve internal systems.
Participants also learned practical methods to streamline daily operations, boost labor productivity, and foster continuous workplace improvement.
In addition, RTWPB VI promoted the National Wages and Productivity Commission’s (NWPC) Productivity Olympics, which will hold its next staging in 2027.
The Productivity Olympics, launched in 2008, is a flagship advocacy program of the NWPC and the RTWPBs. It aims to promote productivity and quality, and to showcase the best productivity improvement programs and practices of MSMEs nationwide. (Marc Maio P. Judicpa)
