NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-VII (RTWPB-VII) formally commenced the minimum wage determination process with the publication of a Notice of Public Hearing on August 5, 2026 at The Freeman Newspaper.
The publication, made 60 days before the anniversary of the current wage order, complies with Paragraph B, Section 3, Rule III of NWPC Guidelines No. 3, Series of 2020 or the Omnibus Rules on Minimum Wage Determination, which provides for the review and adjustment of wage rates.
The notice marks the start start of a series of public hearings and consultations designed to gather inputs from the labor, management, and government stakeholders.
These activities ensure transparency, inclusivity, and tripartism in the wage‑setting process, allowing affected sectors to express their sentiments on the prevailing socio‑economic conditions in Central Visayas.

During the hearings, stakeholders are expected to discuss concerns related to the cost of living, business sustainability, and employment competitiveness.
