The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-VIII (RTWPB-VIII) conducted a face-to-face training on “Improving Productivity Through Operations Management” on June 4, 2026, at the City Engineer’s Office Conference Room in Calbayog City.
The one-day training gathered Human Resource Officers, managers, supervisors, and representatives from various micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and organizations.
Improving Productivity Through Operations Management provides practical knowledge and tools in improving operational efficiency and productivity through optimizing organizational processes, resources, and work systems.
In addition to the Operations Management module, participants were oriented on Productivity 101 and the 2025 Annual Establishment Report on Wages (AERW). The discussions provided MSMEs with essential information on wage reporting requirements, compliance responsibilities, and the importance of accurate data submission in supporting evidence-based labor and productivity policies.
Through interactive discussions, practical learning sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities, participants gained technical knowledge on streamlining operations, improving productivity, and strengthening enterprises’ capacity to compete in both local and global markets. (Dominic N. Pacanan)
