RTWPB-VIII conducts Productivity Toolbox training on effective employee onboarding

June 1, 2026

The RTWPB-VIII team cascaded the Productivity Toolbox training on “Hired and Inspired: Jumpstarting Productivity Through Effective Onboarding of New Employees” to micro, small, and medium enterprises in Maasin City, Southern Leyte on May 13, 2026.

Business owners, HR officers, and managers from Maasin City and nearby towns attended the onboarding training. The module, “Hired and Inspired: Jumpstarting Productivity Through Effective Onboarding of New Employees,” is one of the newest productivity modules developed by the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC).

Participants were warmly welcomed by RTWPB-VIII Chairman/DOLE RO VIII Regional Director Atty. Dax B. Villaruel, who encouraged them to actively participate and maximize their learning during the one-day training.

The training highlighted the importance of a well-structured onboarding process in helping new employees adapt, stay engaged, and perform effectively in the workplace.

In addition, the RTWPB-VIII team provided participants with copies of the HR Onboarding Manual designed by NWPC. The manual serves as a guide for MSMEs in drafting onboarding-related documents, such as employment contracts, employee performance evaluation forms, and coaching/mentoring documentation. (Dominic N.
