The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board–X (RTWPB‑X) conducted a wage orientation and productivity training in Iligan City on 13 April 2026.

Salient provisions of Wage Order No. RX‑24 and Wage Order No. RBX‑DW‑06 were discussed during the first part of the activity.

Atty. Ma. Vergel B. Walag, Board Secretary VI of RTWPB‑X, discussed wage exemption, providing clarification on exemptible categories under the NWPC Guidelines No. 3, series of 2020 or the Omnibus Rules on Minimum Wage Determination.

She also discussed the impact on establishments affected by natural and human-induced disasters, specifically in light of the State of Calamity declared via Iligan Council Resolution No. 26-101 (dated 06 February 2026) following Typhoon Basyang.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nicolo Lorenzo P. Cano, Administrative Assistant III of RTWPB‑X discussed Green Productivity Towards Greener Industrialization, which promotes sustainable industrial development by applying systematic approaches like the EARTH cycle to enhance productivity and environmental performance across production, distribution, and consumption systems.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the DOLE‑X Lanao del Norte Provincial Field Office, headed by Chief Labor and Employment Officer Ms. Criste O. Perfecto, and with Ms. Reggie D. Punongbayan, Regional Governor of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Northern Mindanao and former President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation of Iligan, Incorporated.
