RTWPB-X holds wage orientation, productivity trainings in Q1
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board–X (RTWPB-X) conducted wage orientation and productivity training sessions in January and February as part of its efforts to promote fair compensation and improved productivity.
Usapang 2Ps
On January 28, 2026, RTWPB-X, led by Board Secretary Attorney Ma. Vergel B. Walag, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 10 Provincial Field Office – Bukidnon, conducted Usapang 2Ps: Pasahod at Productivity in Valencia City, Bukidnon.
Around 60 representatives from various firms across the province participated in the activity that aimed to deepen understanding of the newly issued wage orders and reinforce productivity-driven workplace practices.
A highlight of the activity was the productivity training session titled “Improving Productivity Through Employee Engagement” where participants gained practical insights on strengthening employee involvement, cultivating a positive workplace culture, and fostering stronger employer-employee relations. The session also tackled how aligning fair compensation with strategic productivity initiatives enhances enterprise competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
On the same day, RTWPB-X Labor and Employment Officer III Ms. Cecilia C. Arañez, Administrative Assistant III Mr. Nicolo Lorenzo P. Cano and Administrative Assistant I Mr. Jose Lestil Guilaran, extended its productivity advocacy to Maramag, Bukidnon.
The team conducted a 7S of Good Housekeeping training for officers and staff of Centro Supersales, Inc., attended by approximately 30 participants.
The session introduced practical workplace organization techniques designed to maintain orderly, efficient, and clutter-free environments. Through hands-on learning, participants gained actionable strategies to enhance daily operations, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
Wage Orientation
On January 30, 2026, RTWPB-X, Board Secretary Walag and joined by Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Mr. Bernie Boy T. Salinas, conducted a Wage Orientation for officers and members of the PIE-MO Industries Association, Inc. at the SPI Power Plant Pristine Hall in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
With approximately 60 participants in attendance, the orientation provided comprehensive discussions on wage adjustments, compliance requirements, and the shared responsibility of employers and workers in sustaining productivity and economic growth. The activity strengthened partnerships between industry leaders and the Board in advancing fair and responsible labor practices.
RTWPB-X in collaboration with DOLE-10 Cagayan de Oro Field Office conducted a ISTIV Bayanihan training on February 12, 2026 for beneficiaries of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), also known as the Kabuhayan Program.
The training, led by Senior LEO Ms. Evelyn I. Rivera, Administrative Assistant I Ms. Loudette Mae Aleli G. Uy, and Administrative Assistant I Mr. Jose Lestil C. Guilaran focused on strengthening management practices among micro enterprises, including Barangay Micro Business Enterprises (BMBEs). DILP supports poor, vulnerable, and marginalized workers through financial assistance and capacity-building interventions aimed at establishing, expanding, or restoring livelihood projects.
Through initiatives such as ISTIV Bayanihan, beneficiaries are better equipped to transform small ventures into sustainable community enterprises—contributing significantly to poverty reduction and local economic development.
Araw ng mga Kasambahay 2026
RTWPB-X also joined DOLE-10 in celebrating Araw ng mga Kasambahay 2026 on February 15, 2026, at Robinsons Cagayan de Oro, Limketkai Center.
The event honored the invaluable contributions of domestic workers to Filipino families and society. In collaboration with various government agencies and private sector partners, the celebration featured informative activities designed to enhance domestic workers’ awareness of their rights, benefits, and welfare.
The observance reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to uphold dignity, respect, and protection for kasambahays—recognizing their dedication and vital role in nation-building. (Loudette Mae Aleli G. Uy)
