RTWPB-XI conducts PBIS and Retail/Visual Merchandising training

April 20, 2026

Over 20 participants attended the Productivity-Based Incentive Scheme (PBIS) orientation and Retail and Visual Merchandising training organized by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-XI on 24 March 2026.

Ms. Christina H. Balaga, LEO II, tackled PBIS while Ms. Sheryl Mae R. Danlag, LEO II, and Ms. Ivory Diane P. Genovia, Administrative Assistant I, introduced the concepts of Retail and Visual Merchandising. Participants learned to maximize their resources and make their storefronts appealing, even in small spaces.

This training was done in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – Region XI, in charge of inviting various Livelihood Programs (SLP) beneficiaries to participate in the productivity trainings of the agency.

The Retail and Visual Merchandising covers the fundamentals of merchandising, which refers to the marketing of the right product at the right price, in the right quantity, in the right place, and at the right time. It includes all aspects of the total visual impact of the store and its merchandise.

PBIS is a workplace-initiated program on improving the productivity of workers and enterprises to generate savings or additional revenues, which can be shared by enterprises with their workers. (Kenneth Paul Recaña)
