MAHINAY cvisingLE ProductivityBoard oductivity Board’The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board–XIII (RTWPB-XIII) conducted an orientation on Productivity-Based Incentive Scheme (PBIS) for management and labor representatives of the Caraga Industrial Peace Practitioners and Advocates in Butuan City on 26 May 2026.
Done in coordination with the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch (RCMB) 13–Caraga, the area-wide seminar titled “Harmony in the Workplace: Managing Discipline, Data Privacy, and Productivity” aimed to harmonize workplace relations by providing labor and management representatives with a comprehensive understanding of the legal frameworks that govern employees conduct, data security, and performance incentives.
Mr. Cornelius B. Mahinay, Supervising Labor and Employment Officer of RTWPB Caraga, led the core discussion on PBIS, reshaping the narrative around workplace efficiency. He emphasized that productivity programs are not merely tools for increasing corporate profit, rather, it is fundamental to employee welfare and financial empowerment.
Meanwhile, RCMB Caraga Dir. Oliver Jao underscored RCMB’s role in fostering workplace efficiency through collaboration such as Labor-Management Councils and Grievance Machineries.
Dir. Jao expressed his gratitude to RTWPB Caraga for facilitating the PBIS orientation, noting that transparent discussions about performance incentives are essential for building mutual trust, sustaining industrial peace, and ensuring that economic progress is shared by those who build it.
PBIS is a workplace-initiated program on improving the productivity of workers and enterprises to generate savings or additional revenues, which can be shared by enterprises with their workers.
